How to Become a French Language Teacher in India?

The prerequisites for a profession as a French language teacher are a bachelor’s degree in either education or French and a teaching credential in foreign language instruction. You must first pass a test on teaching techniques and the French language before you can earn teaching credentials.

If your result was 7.5 or better, you should have been able to get the British Council/IDP IELTS Certificate of Proficiency. A D1 in DELF, TCF, TEF, or another honours exam in French, or a B.A. in French from an Indian university, are the minimal requirements.

According to a news release, the Delhi Government has added French to its list of world languages for children, beginning May 2, 2022. To ensure that French language instruction is of the highest calibre, the French Language and Education Office works in conjunction with Indian universities and schools.
